Find and remove duplicates in a list

Paste a list of names, emails, SKUs, URLs, or any text values — one per line — and Maplesheet groups the duplicates so you can review and copy back the cleaned result. No Excel, no sign-up.

Exact matching catches identical text. Fuzzy matching also catches near-duplicates with typos, trailing spaces, or different casing — drag the similarity slider toward Fuzzy to widen the match, or toward Exact to narrow it.

It's built for everyday office work: dedupe a customer list before a mail merge, remove duplicate emails before sending a campaign, or check a pasted column of invoice numbers for accidental repeats. Your list is checked on the fly and never stored on our servers.

Working in a spreadsheet instead? Use the Excel duplicate finder to scan whole columns, rows, and ranges of an .xlsx or .csv file directly.

How it works

  1. Paste your values into the textbox, one per line.
  2. Set the similarity threshold — 100% is exact match, lower values include fuzzy matches.
  3. Click Find. Duplicate groups appear on the left and the cleaned list on the right.
  4. Uncheck any value you'd rather keep — it pops back into the cleaned list automatically.
  5. Click Copy to grab the deduped list and paste it wherever you need it.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a duplicate?
At 100% only identical text matches. Below 100% the tool uses similarity scoring, so close-but-not-identical values get grouped together. The lower the threshold, the looser the match.
Will the original order be preserved?
Yes. The first occurrence of each value stays in place; only later repeats are removed.
Can I handle very large lists?
Yes. Tens of thousands of lines work fine.
Can I remove duplicate emails or names from a list?
Yes. Paste the emails or names one per line and click Find. Fuzzy matching also groups near-duplicates like "john.smith@acme.com" typed with extra spaces, or "Anna Lee" and "anna lee", so cleaned mailing lists don't message the same person twice.
How is this different from the Excel duplicate finder?
This tool works on a plain pasted list — no file needed. If your data lives in an .xlsx or .csv file, use the Excel duplicate finder instead: it scans columns, rows, and ranges and returns a cleaned workbook for download.
